Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OnlineToolBench (“we”, “us”, the “Site”) handles information when you use our tools at onlinetoolbench.com. We have tried to keep it plain and honest.
The short version
- Every tool runs entirely inside your web browser. The files you open (images, PDFs) are processed on your own device.
- We do not upload, receive, store, or see your files. There is no server that your files are sent to.
- We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email, or files.
- Our web host and two analytics services process limited technical data about your visit, as described below. One of them (Google Analytics) sets cookies.
Your files never leave your device
OnlineToolBench is a set of client-side tools. When you compress an image, convert a file, edit a PDF, or pick a colour, all of that work happens locally in your browser using your device’s own processor. Your files are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, which is also why there is no file-size limit and why the tools keep working on a slow connection. When you close or reload the page, any files you were working on are gone from memory.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect or store your files, and we do not require accounts, logins, names, phone numbers or email addresses to use the tools.
Information that is processed automatically
Hosting (Cloudflare)
The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any website host, Cloudflare automatically processes standard technical information needed to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse — for example your IP address, browser type, and the time of your request. This is handled by Cloudflare under their own privacy terms; we do not use it to identify you personally.
Analytics (Cloudflare)
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit the Site and which tools they use, so we know what to improve. It is a privacy-focused service: it does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device, does not build a profile of you, and does not track you across other websites. It records aggregate information such as page views, referring site, country, and browser type. We cannot identify individual visitors from it.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
We also use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages and tools people use, and how they find the Site. Unlike the service above, Google Analytics does set cookies in your browser and assigns your device a random identifier, so that repeat visits can be recognised. It records things like the pages you view, roughly where you are (city or region level), your device and browser, and which site or search you arrived from.
It never receives your files — those are never sent anywhere — and we do not give Google your name or email, because we do not have them. Google processes this data as an independent company under its own terms. You can read how Google handles it at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out entirely by installing Google’s Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by using your browser’s tracking-protection settings.
Cookies
Our own code does not set any cookies, and we do not use cookies to store
anything about you ourselves. The cookies that do appear on the Site are set
by Google Analytics (names beginning _ga), which uses them to
tell repeat visits apart and to measure how the Site is used.
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings, or use the Google opt-out linked above. Blocking them does not affect any of the tools — every tool works fully without cookies, because the tools run entirely on your device.
Children’s privacy
The Site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
Because we do not collect personal data ourselves, there is nothing for us to look up, export, or delete on your behalf. For data processed by our third-party providers (Google, Cloudflare), please use their own controls and privacy tools linked above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
