Stamp your own text on a photo — place it anywhere, set the size, colour
and angle, or tile it across the whole image. Everything happens in your
browser, so the photo is never uploaded.
Why watermark a photo?
A watermark marks a picture as yours, or marks a document copy as a
draft, sample or proof. Putting your name across a portfolio shot makes
it awkward to reuse without credit, and stamping COPY or
DRAFT across a scanned certificate makes clear it is not the
original. Tiling the text across the whole image is the stronger option,
because a single corner mark can simply be cropped away.
Nothing leaves your device
The image is opened, drawn and re-encoded in your browser using your own
device. It is never uploaded, so there is no size limit, no queue, and
nothing stored anywhere for you to delete later. Close the tab and the
photo is gone from memory.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add a watermark to a photo?
Drop your image in, type the text you want, then tap one of the nine positions or drag the watermark on the preview. Adjust size, colour, opacity and angle, then download.
Can I put the watermark across the whole image?
Yes. Turn on “Tile across image” and the text repeats in a diagonal pattern over the entire photo — the usual way to mark a document or proof so it cannot simply be cropped out.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is opened, watermarked and saved entirely inside your browser on your own device. It is never sent to a server, so there is no file-size limit and nothing to delete afterwards.
Can I use Hindi or other Indian languages?
Not yet — the watermark currently supports English letters, numbers and basic punctuation. If you type characters that are not supported the tool tells you which ones, so nothing fails silently.
Which format should I download?
PNG is the default because it keeps every pixel exactly — no quality is lost, though the file is larger. JPG and WebP are slightly compressed to make much smaller files, which is usually fine for sharing online.
